Has anyone tried stem cell treatment for cirrhosis?

Hi everyone, my uncle has been diagnosed with liver cirrhosis for a couple of years now, and the doctors say his condition is progressing slowly despite meds and lifestyle changes. I've been reading about regenerative options and came across mentions of stem cell approaches that might help improve liver function or slow down the damage. Has anyone here had experience with this, or know if it's worth looking into? What results did you see, if any? Thanks for any advice.

Re: Has anyone tried stem cell treatment for cirrhosis?

I haven't tried it personally, but a friend of mine looked into it when his liver issues got worse. From what he shared, stem cell treatment for cirrhosis is still mostly in research and trials, with some studies showing potential improvements in liver function tests and even fibrosis reduction in certain patients. It's not a guaranteed fix or widely available everywhere, and results vary a lot depending on the type of cells and stage of disease. He decided to check out more details on this clinic's page about their approach: stem cell treatment for cirrhosis. Might be useful to read up there and talk to a specialist before considering anything. Hope your uncle gets better soon.
